This course provides an introduction to the fungal kingdom and the connections fungi make in ecology. We will look at the role of fungi in ecosystems, food, and as decomposers. We will learn to observe the natural world through our Field Journal project and further those skills through iNaturalist to become a community scientist. You will learn how to correctly describe a mushroom and learn the classification and taxonomy of fungi. All students will be doing a sporeprint project and present their process and results to the class..
