The Coding Club provides participating students an opportunity to learn the basics of computer programming in a team setting. The club's main focus is on creating applications, websites, games and other projects to share with the community. It is the place to take that interest in technology, and turn it into a productive skill. Designed for our young learners who want to try out programming, the Coding Club is a fun way to learn to code in a social setting. Students explore coding using several platforms like the popular Scratch, code.org, CodeCombat and CodeCamp. We make a series of games and application projects, which help students learn the core concepts of coding and computer science! Open to learners of all levels.

We meet once a week in each time zone. You can join every meeting in every time zone if you want. We stay in touch asynchronously and prepare our project for the end of Season presentations.

This learning experience is eligible for high school credits for students enrolled with West River Academy.
