Learn value investing through a stock market simulator — pick real companies with paper money, record why, and never sell
A stock market simulator where kids learn value investing. Your kid picks real companies with paper money — but can only ever buy, never sell. Every investment pairs with a short voice thesis: why this business, who buys it, what could go wrong. As their thinking sharpens, they unlock more capital: $10k, $100k, $1M. Over time they don't build a portfolio. They build a record of how they think about the world of investing.
Why we built it
Most stock market apps for kids teach them to trade. Buy, sell, watch the number, chase the next hot stock. Kids learn the vocabulary of a gambler, not an investor. We built Stocks around a different idea: value investing. Your kid picks a real company with paper money, records a voice thesis on why they believe in it — what it makes, who buys it, what could go wrong — and that position stays in their portfolio forever. They can never sell. Not chase the next big thing. Make a case. Own a piece of the world. Over three years, that's dozens of companies your kid picked and thought about — a living record of how they saw the world, from age 10 to age 13. We believe the kids who build wealth in the next decade won't be the ones who picked the hot stock at the right moment. They'll be the ones who learned to think like owners — and who can point to a portfolio of thinking and say "I believed this, and here's why."
