Draw it step by step

Six steps to a crab

New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.

1

Start with the shell

Draw a wide oval, much wider than it is tall. Wobbly is fine.

2

Two big claws

Draw a round claw high up on each side. Cut a V into the top so it can pinch.

3

Bend the arms

Join each claw to the shell with a bent arm, like an elbow sticking out.

4

Three legs each side

Three curvy legs on each side, bending down to the sand.

5

Eyes on stalks

Two short stalks up from the shell with a dot eye on each, then a big smile.

6

Finishing touches

A few spots on the shell, and two little bubbles floating up. Now this crab is yours.

Now draw a crab who found a very strange new shell.

Animate your drawing with AI

Finished drawing? In a Kubrio project, your kid turns this paper crab into a real animated film — with Kubrio's AI thinking partners at their side. The little claw wave below is a wink; the real clips go much further.

Ingenious projects that inspire kids to make things — until they find the thing only they could make.
