A round body, a round head, and one wide flat bill. Watch the video, follow along on paper, then bring your duck to life.
Watch it first
Draw it step by step
New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.
Draw a fat boat with a flat bottom. Leave the top left open for the head, and keep the bottom line straight — that flat line is the water.
A circle over the open gap, then two lines down to the body for the neck. A duck's neck is stubby, so keep them short.
Draw a wide flat bill off the front of the head. Add one line across it for the smile, and one round dot eye.
One leaf shape on the side, wide at the front and pointed at the back, then one line inside it for the feathers.
One line up from the back to a point, then one line back down. The tail tips out of the water.
Three wavy lines under the duck for the ripples. Now this duck is yours.
Now draw a duck with three ducklings in a line.
Practice on paper
Faint lines to trace, all six mini steps, and an empty box to draw your own. One page, works in black and white.
The magic part
Finished drawing? In a Kubrio project, your kid turns this paper duck into a real animated film — with Kubrio's AI thinking partners at their side. The little tail wiggle below is a wink; the real clips go much further.
