A shaggy body hanging under a branch, three long hooked limbs, and a face with two eye stripes. Watch the video, follow along on paper, then bring your sloth to life.
Watch it first
Draw it step by step
New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.
Draw a long, furry oval lying on its side, with zigzag tufts underneath. Then a big circle for the head, overlapping one end.
Two long lines across the top of your paper, one above the other. Wobbly is fine — branches are never straight.
Two teardrop stripes sweeping out from the eyes, a dot eye at the round end of each, a round nose, and a wide sleepy smile.
Two long legs and one long arm curve up from the body to the branch. Draw each with two lines, and stop them at the bottom line.
Three long claws on each paw, curling over the top of the branch like hooks.
Let the last arm hang down with three claws spread, waving hello, and add one leaf. Now this sloth is yours.
Now draw a sloth who is late for something.
Practice on paper
Faint lines to trace, all six mini steps, and an empty box to draw your own. One page, works in black and white.
The magic part
Finished drawing? In a Kubrio project, your kid turns this paper sloth into a real animated film — with Kubrio's AI thinking partners at their side. The little wave below is a wink; the real clips go much further.
