Draw it step by step

Six steps to a cowboy

New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.

1

Start with the head

Draw a big U for the head. Leave the top open, because the hat sits there.

2

Add the cowboy hat

Close the top of the U with a wide brim that curls up at both ends. Put a tall crown on top with a dip in the middle.

3

Face and bandana

Two dot eyes and a happy smile. Then a V under the chin for the bandana.

4

Draw the body

A shirt that starts at the bandana and gets wide at the shoulders. Add two vest lines and a belt.

5

Arms, legs, and boots

One hand on the hip and one arm up high. Two legs down to pointy cowboy boots with a little heel.

6

Swing the lasso

A rope from the raised hand to a big loop in the air, then a hat band and a shiny buckle. Now this cowboy is yours.

Go further

Now draw a cowboy riding something that isn't a horse.

The magic part

Animate your drawing with AI

Finished drawing? In a Kubrio project, your kid turns this paper cowboy into a real animated film — with Kubrio's AI thinking partners at their side. The little lasso swing below is a wink; the real clips go much further.

Ingenious projects that inspire kids to make things — until they find the thing only they could make.
Ages 6–13.
