Six steps, one pencil, about twelve minutes. Watch the video, follow along on paper, then bring your pirate to life.
Watch it first
Draw it step by step
New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.
Draw a circle near the top of your paper. Wobbly is fine — wobbly circles make friendly pirates.
A long curve across the top of the head, with both ends swooping up into points. Then one round hump over the top to close the hat.
One dot eye, one dark eye patch, and a big smile. A thin strap holds the patch on.
A shirt under the head, wider at the shoulders. Add two short legs and a tall boot on each one.
One hand rests on the hip. The other arm lifts a spyglass: three little boxes in a row, each one wider, with a round lens at the end.
Stripes on the shirt, a sash round the middle with two loose ends, and a star on the hat. Now this pirate is yours.
Now draw a pirate who found a treasure nobody expected.
Practice on paper
Faint lines to trace, all six mini steps, and an empty box to draw your own. One page, works in black and white.
The magic part
Finished drawing? In a Kubrio project, your kid turns this paper pirate into a real animated film — with Kubrio's AI thinking partners at their side. The little spyglass sweep below is a wink; the real clips go much further.
The Animation Studio
Your kid draws a character on paper, tells the story, and watches it star in a real animated film.
