Six steps to a cupcake

New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.

1

Start with the wrapper

Draw a cup shape that is wider at the top than at the bottom. Use straight lines, like paper.

2

Pile on the frosting

Draw three bumps on each side, each one smaller than the one below. Wobbly is fine.

3

Split it into tiers

Draw a smile-shaped line across each dip. Now you have three stacked swirls.

4

Stick in a candle

Draw a tall thin candle on top, a tiny wick, and a flame shaped like a raindrop.

5

Fold the paper

Draw four lines down the wrapper. Let them lean in a little at the bottom.

6

Add the sprinkles

Scatter little dashes on the frosting, all pointing different ways. Add a line for the table.

Now draw a cupcake for someone's very unusual birthday.

The magic part

Animate your drawing with AI

Finished drawing? In a Kubrio project, your kid turns this paper cupcake into a real animated film — with Kubrio's AI thinking partners at their side. The little flickering flame below is a wink; the real clips go much further.

Ingenious projects that inspire kids to make things — until they find the thing only they could make.
Ages 6–13.
