Draw it step by step

Six steps to a submarine

New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.

1

Start with the hull

Draw a long capsule lying down. Make the front round and let the back come to a point.

2

Add the tower

A short box on top of the hull, standing on the top line.

3

Pop up a periscope

A thin tube out of the tower that bends forward at the top, like a letter L upside down.

4

A propeller and fins

Two round blades at the pointy back, one up and one down. Add a little fin above and below.

5

Three round windows

Three circles in a row along the side. Draw one long line under them, nose to tail.

6

Finishing touches

Bubbles floating up from the nose, a wavy sea floor, and some seaweed. Now this submarine is yours.

Go further

Now draw a submarine exploring the deepest part of the sea.

Animate your drawing with AI

Finished drawing? In a Kubrio project, your kid turns this paper submarine into a real animated film — with Kubrio's AI thinking partners at their side. The little propeller swish below is a wink; the real clips go much further.

Ingenious projects that inspire kids to make things — until they find the thing only they could make.
