Draw it step by step
New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.
Draw one big oval in the middle of your paper. Wobbly is fine — wobbly ovals make friendly lanterns.
Curve one line out to the left and one out to the right. Start and finish them both on the oval.
Two short lines climb from the top and lean to the right. Cap them with a small curve to make a fat, stubby stem.
Two big triangles for the eyes, both pointing down. A smaller triangle in the middle, pointing up, makes the nose.
Draw a wide smile with three pointy teeth hanging into it. Make it wider than you think — a big grin makes a happy lantern.
A stalk off the stem, a pointy leaf, and three short glow lines. Now this jack-o'-lantern is yours.
Now carve a face that's surprised, not scary.
