"Who is Claire?"

"Claire is Kubrio's AI Learning Coach for Families — the first of its kind. Once a week she has a short live voice check-in with your kid about what they built and what's next. You schedule it, she remembers your whole family across everything in Kubrio, and she emails you a clear summary after each session."

Claire is the first AI Learning Coach for Families. She is the part of Kubrio that zooms out from any single project and looks at your kid as a whole learner — what they are drawn to, how they work, where a small nudge from you would help. Once a week she talks with your kid, and once a week she writes to you.

Claire is not an app your kid opens and pokes at. She is a coach who checks in, remembers, and reports back.

What does Claire actually do?

Three things, on a weekly rhythm:

  1. She has a live voice check-in with your kid. Each week Claire has a short live voice conversation with your kid about what they built and what they want to make next. It is real-time and spoken — your kid talks, Claire listens and responds.
  2. She remembers your whole family. You tell Claire what matters to your family and how each kid likes to learn, and she carries that everywhere across everything in Kubrio. She is not starting fresh each week; she knows your kid over time.
  3. She reports to you. After each check-in you get a clear weekly report: what your kid made, how they are growing, and where a small nudge from you would help. See weekly reports for what that looks like.

The narrative version of who she is lives on meet Claire. This page is the precise reference.

How does the weekly check-in work?

You schedule it — Claire's check-in happens when you decide it should. A few specifics:

  • It is a short live voice session between Claire and your kid, not a call you have to sit through (though you are welcome to be nearby).
  • It runs in a same-day window you set. Because it is live, it happens on the day you scheduled it.
  • A missed session does not roll over. If a week's check-in does not happen, there is no backlog — your kid simply has the next one on schedule.

You set all of this up during onboarding. See getting set up for the scheduling step.

What does Claire remember, and why does it matter?

Claire holds your family's context so her coaching gets sharper over time. That includes what you have told her matters to your family, how each kid likes to learn, and what each kid has been making week to week. Because she remembers, her weekly note can say something specific — a pattern she is seeing, a thing that did not land, a concrete suggestion for the weekend — instead of a generic update. When you reply to her email, what you tell her folds back into what she knows.

If you have more than one kid, Claire keeps each kid's context separate while still understanding them as one family.

How is Claire different from the AI Crew?

They are different roles, and they are separate.

  • The AI Crew — Krea, Tek, and Brio — works alongside your kid inside the apps while they build, asking better questions in the moment.
  • Claire zooms out. She is the family coach who looks across the whole week and every app, then talks with your kid and reports to you.

Think of the Crew as thinking partners at the workbench and Claire as the coach who checks in on the whole journey. Claire is not one of the Crew, and the Crew does not email you.

How does Claire email me?

Claire sends your weekly summary by email. It is written to read like a note from someone who actually knows your kid, not an app notification. You can reply to it — your reply reaches Claire and feeds into her family memory, so the next note is smarter. All of Claire's emails to you come from her own address, which stays the same week to week.

Is Claire safe for my kid?

Yes. Claire operates in the same kid-only, ad-free, COPPA-compliant space as the rest of Kubrio, and you stay in control of everything. As with the Crew, kid–AI messages are checked by a second AI. You can read the full picture on safety and in safety and data.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to be present for Claire's check-in with my kid?

No. It is a short live voice conversation between Claire and your kid. You schedule it and can be nearby, but you do not need to sit through it — you get the summary afterward.

What happens if my kid misses their check-in?

Nothing bad. A missed session does not roll over. Your kid just has their next scheduled check-in as normal; there is no pile-up to catch up on.

Can Claire coach more than one of my kids?

Yes. Claire understands your whole family and keeps each kid's context separate. Her weekly report covers your family, with what is happening for each kid.

What email address does Claire write from?

You can reply to that address, and your reply feeds into what Claire remembers about your family.

Is Claire the same as Krea, Tek, and Brio?

No. Krea, Tek, and Brio are the in-app [AI Crew](/docs/ai-crew) who work alongside your kid while they build. Claire is the separate family coach who checks in weekly and reports to you.
