How does Kubrio keep kids safe?

Kubrio is built as a walled garden for kids. There is no open internet inside it, no strangers, and no ads, ever. Everything a kid does happens in a space designed only for them, watched by systems whose job is to keep the experience safe, and reported back to you. This page explains exactly how that works. What makes Kubrio a safe place to be?

Kubrio is kid-only. It is not a corner of a larger platform and it is not a social feed. Kids come in to make things, and the environment is shaped around that one purpose.

There is no open messaging with strangers. Kubrio is ad-free, so there is no one paying to grab your kid's attention and no tracking built to sell to them. And the AI in every studio is set up for kids, with guardrails built in, so it behaves like something made for a child rather than a general-purpose tool pointed at one.

How does Kubrio check what gets made?

Every drawing and story is safety-checked before anything is made. If something isn't right for a kid, Kubrio stops it there, before a film, game, comic, or robot gets made from it. The check runs on its own, every time, without your kid needing to do anything.

Does the AI do my kid's work for them?

No, and this is a deliberate line. The AI never does the creative work. Your kid draws on paper first, then decides, writes, and builds. The AI reacts to what your kid made and helps them push it further. We call this the hand staying the hero: the child creates, and the AI amplifies, but the thing that gets made is your kid's.

This matters for safety as much as it matters for learning. Your kid is always the one in the driver's seat, and the AI is a responder, not an author.

What does Kubrio do with my kid's data?

Kubrio is COPPA compliant. In practice that means a few concrete things. We collect the minimum we need to run the experience, we get verifiable parental consent before a child uses Kubrio, and you keep control of the account the whole way through.

You can review what is there, freeze the account, or delete it, at any time. There is no advertising business behind Kubrio, so your kid's data is not the product. It exists to run the studio and to give you a clear view of your kid's work, and nothing more.

What can I see and control as a parent?

Everything your kid finishes lands in your parent dashboard. When your kid's film, game, comic, or robot premieres, Claire emails you. When your kid asks for a studio they don't have yet, Claire emails you.

Control sits with you at the level that matters. You approve the account, you decide which studios your kid can reach, and the consent you give at signup covers the one sharing rule every family has. Inside that boundary, your kid curates what shows in Kubrio's internal Gallery. Outside it, at the premiere, your kid's film, game, comic, or robot becomes public (for a robot, the finished 3D robot only; the photo of the paper drawing stays private): anyone with the link can open its page.
