Animation for kids
Kids learn animation by making it. They start with a flipbook, then stop motion with their own toys, then a drawing that moves. Kubrio's courses walk them through each step, and in Animation Studio their drawing becomes a short cartoon with their story, their lines, and a poster for the premiere.
Your kid makes every frame. Paper first, screen second.

Why it matters
Animation asks a kid to plan before they draw: what happens first, what changes, and what the audience sees. A flipbook teaches timing without a word of theory.
It also gives a quiet kid a way to tell a story out loud. Their character talks, their joke lands, and the family watches it at a premiere.

Tools parents ask about
Questions parents ask
- What age is animation for?
- Kids 6 to 13. Six is a good age for a flipbook or stop motion with toys. Kids 9 to 13 can plan a full short film with a storyboard, voices, and a trailer.
- Does my kid need an app to animate?
- Not to start. A flipbook needs paper and a pencil, and stop motion needs a phone camera. Animation Studio comes in when your kid wants their drawing to move and talk.
- Does AI make the film?
- No. Your kid draws the character on paper, writes the story and the lines, and directs every scene. AI helps build the film from those choices.
- Is this an animation class for kids?
- It works like one, at home and at your kid's pace: short video lessons with a host, then something to make.
