How to make an animated movie: a course for kids

To make an animated movie, your kid creates a character with a name, a want, and a problem, plans the story in boxes, adds sound and lines, directs each scene, makes a poster, and holds a premiere. Six short films, one for each room in Animation Studio, show each step. Each film is under a minute, so watch it with your kid before they open the room.

Questions parents ask

Are the films free to watch?

Yes. All six films play free on this site, with no account. Your kid makes the movie itself in Animation Studio, which comes with Kubrio One or Kubrio Unlimited.

Does AI make the movie for my kid?

No. Your kid draws the character on paper, writes the story and the lines, and decides how every scene looks. AI helps build the film from those choices.

What age is this course for?

Kids 6 to 13. Each film is under a minute, so watch it together, then let your kid lead in the room.
