Lesson 1 transcript: Start with a wish
Today you invent someone nobody has ever seen!
Not a cat. Not a dragon from a book. Someone brand new, from your own head.
Every great character starts with a wish. What do they want more than anything?
Meet Pom. First, give your character a name. Short names are easy to remember.
Now the wish. Pom wants to touch the moon!
Then one thing they're scared of. Pom is scared of being up high. Uh-oh!
A name, a wish, and a fear. Now your character feels alive!
Your turn. Give your character a name. Write what they want most. Write one thing they're scared of. Then press Next.

Questions parents ask
My kid says, "I'm bad at drawing." Will this work?
Yes. The course starts with simple shapes and a wish, not with drawing skill. A circle with a hat and a clear want is a real character.
What age is this character course for?
It's made for kids 6 to 13. Younger kids draw one view and two faces. Older kids fill in the full sheet and add details.
Does my kid need the app to do this course?
Your kid watches the four films in the app. The drawing is all on paper, with a pencil.
