Why does Kubrio verify every parent?
A kids' community only stays a kids' community if every adult in it has proven they're a parent. Parents are verified by their card, once, when the first plan starts. Verified-parent accounts are how we keep Kubrio COPPA-safe, and unverified accounts are removed after 30 days.
The safest place online for kids — that's what we're building. Verification is the part of that promise you can actually check.
Most places for kids ask an adult to tick a box. A box is not evidence. On Kubrio, every adult inside the community has proven they're a parent.
Why verify at all?
Because "adults only get in by proving it" is the only version of a kids' community that means anything. Your kid can see other kids' work in here — games, comics, films — and other families can see your kid's, as first name and age. That only works if the adult on the other end of every account is a real parent who did something to prove it.
It is also how the law is satisfied. Verified-parent accounts are how we keep Kubrio COPPA-safe — unverified accounts are removed after 30 days.
How am I verified?
By your card. When you start a plan for your kid, you are verified. A payment card is a recognized way for a parent to give verifiable parental consent, and Stripe already ran it, so there is nothing else to do and we never ask twice.
Each kid gets their own plan: Kubrio Learn is $12 a month, Kubrio One is $49 a month, and Kubrio Unlimited is $99 a month, per kid. Families verified by an ID check before September 28, 2026 keep their community access. A few kid-to-kid features use a stricter ID check, run by Stripe, for paying families; the app shows you if your kid ever wants one.
Does verification expire if I cancel?
No. Once you have proven you're a parent, you have proven it.
If you paid and later cancel, your community access stays. The card was verified once, and the person on the other end of it did not stop being that child's parent when the subscription lapsed.
What happens at 30 days?
An account that hasn't started a plan within 30 days is removed. Before that happens, we email you about it, including a plain notice the day before, with the one way to keep the account.
Removal means the account and its profiles are deleted. It never touches a child's creations: making anything on Kubrio requires a plan or a legacy credit, and paying verifies you permanently, so an account that reaches day 30 unverified is, by construction, an account with no kid work under it. What kids make is kept forever, and a project a kid joins is theirs to keep.
If your account is removed and you want to come back, you're welcome to. Start a new one whenever you like.
What do I get once I'm verified?
The community, for as long as you want it.
Your kid can play games, read comics and watch films made by other kids aged 6 to 13, and see projects being made live, with a count of how many kids are in each one. Kids appear as first name and age — "Maya, 9" — and nothing else. There is no chat and there are no DMs; kids don't message each other here, they make things and show each other. There are no ads, ever. Outside Kubrio, a finished project gets a public page at its premiere, showing only a first name, an age, and an avatar, and you and your kid can make it private anytime. Only a parent can start a plan. Nothing is ever bought from a kid's screen.
Frequently asked questions
I pay for Kubrio. Do I need to do anything else to verify?
No. Your card already verified you, and that includes legacy and founding families.
Can my kid verify instead of me?
No — that's the entire point. Kubrio accounts belong to parents, and a kid can't create one by ticking a box that says they're an adult.
Do you share my identity with other families?
No. Other families see that every adult here is verified. They never see your card or anything Stripe checked.
