Can two characters start together?
Press ▶ once and both characters go at the same moment.
Meet the start flag
You have pressed ▶ since your very first program. It is an event too — the moment every program is waiting for. Give one character a program, give another character a program, then press ▶ once. Both of them start. Neither one waits for the other to finish.
Every program has a first block. Press ▶ and every one of them starts at the same moment.

Can you park the turtle right under the rabbit?
The rabbit runs four steps every time, then stops for a nap. Give the turtle four steps and it ends up right below. Try three and the rabbit is ahead. Try six and the turtle is past the nap and onto the flag. The rabbit's program never changes — only yours does.
