Six steps to a drone

New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.

1

Start with the body

Draw a small box with round corners in the middle of the page. Keep it wider than it is tall.

2

Four thin arms

Two arms reach down and out from the bottom corners. Two more reach up and back from the top corners. End each one with a short post.

3

Add the propellers

A long flat oval on top of every post. Make the front two bigger than the back two.

4

A face and two skids

Two dot eyes and a happy smile on the box. Then two short legs with a flat foot each, for landing.

5

Hang a parcel

A string straight down from the middle, then a box on the end. Tie a ribbon around it both ways.

6

Finishing touches

A light on top and a bow on the parcel. Now this drone is yours.

Animate your drawing with AI

Finished drawing? In a Kubrio project, your kid turns this paper drone into a real animated film — with Kubrio's AI thinking partners at their side. The swinging parcel below is a wink; the real clips go much further.

Ingenious projects that inspire kids to make things — until they find the thing only they could make.
