What's the difference between the Kubrio studio and Sprints?

There are two ways to make things on Kubrio, and one membership covers both. The studio is free-style — your kid builds whatever they want, at their own pace, no clock. Sprints are time-boxed — a real project inside a week, with a deadline and a bit of friendly competition alongside kids worldwide. The first is Summer Sprints. Same making; different rhythm; always the kid's call.

Kubrio gives your kid two ways to make things — the studio and Sprints — and one family membership covers both. They're not different products. They're two rhythms for the same thing: building real things a kid is proud of.

The studio: free-style making

The studio is open and self-directed. Your kid picks whatever they want to build next and works at their own pace — no deadline, no crowd, no clock. Some weeks that's a film, some weeks a comic, some weeks a tiny business. It's the place for a kid to follow their own curiosity wherever it goes. See what your kid actually does and the apps they build with.

Sprints: a deadline and a little competition

Sprints add momentum. A Sprint is a real project built inside a focused week, with a clear finish line and a bit of friendly competition alongside kids around the world. The deadline pulls a project to done; the company of other young makers makes it exciting. The first one is Summer Sprints — eight real projects across one summer.

Same kind of making as the studio. Just with a clock and a crew.

One membership, always the kid's call

You don't choose between them, and you don't pay extra for Sprints — one membership covers both. Your kid decides which fits the week. Want quiet, open-ended building? The studio. Want a deadline and some friendly heat? A Sprint. Both end the same way: a real thing your kid made and keeps, with their name on it. AI amplifies the work; the hand stays the hero.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the studio and Sprints?

The studio is free-style: your kid builds at their own pace, with no deadline. Sprints are time-boxed: a real project inside a week, with a deadline and a bit of friendly competition alongside kids worldwide. Same making, different rhythm.

Do I pay extra for Sprints?

No. One family membership covers both the studio and Sprints. There's nothing extra to buy.

What is Summer Sprints?

Summer Sprints is the first Sprint season — eight real projects across one summer, with deadlines and friendly competition alongside kids around the world. It's how many founding families start.

Can my kid switch between them?

Yes, anytime, week to week. It's always the kid's call — quiet free-style building in the studio one week, a time-boxed Sprint the next.

Which is better for my kid?

Neither is better; they suit different moods. Kids who like open-ended exploration lean toward the studio; kids who thrive on deadlines and a bit of competition lean toward Sprints. Most kids enjoy both.
