Draw it step by step

Six steps to a ghost

New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.

1

Start with a big dome

Draw a tall upside-down U, open along the bottom. Wobbly is fine — wobbly ghosts look friendliest.

2

Wave the bottom edge

Close the bottom with four soft bumps in a row, like a wave. Then let the right corner trail off sideways in a long wisp.

3

Add two big eyes

Two tall ovals near the top, coloured all the way in. Leave a wide gap between them.

4

A boo mouth and two arms

One tall oval for the mouth, open wide for a boo. Then a long bump on each side, sweeping up like two raised arms.

5

Raise two eyebrows

One curved line high above each eye. Now the ghost looks surprised to see you.

6

Finishing touches

Draw the bow tie one half at a time, then a dot in the middle for the knot. Now this ghost is yours.

Go further

Now draw a ghost who can't stop sneezing.

Animate your drawing with AI

Finished drawing? In a Kubrio project, your kid turns this paper ghost into a real animated film — with Kubrio's AI thinking partners at their side. The little wisp swish below is a wink; the real clips go much further.

Ingenious projects that inspire kids to make things — until they find the thing only they could make.
