Building one of the best apps for kids?

Kubrio's best-of guides are a living evaluation, not a one-time listicle — we constantly search for the best apps for kids. If you build one, contact us. If you're willing to offer Kubrio families a discount or perk, we'd love to list it with your entry. A perk never buys a listing; only apps we'd recommend anyway get in.

These guides aren't listicles we wrote once and forgot. They're a living evaluation — we're constantly searching for the tools genuinely worth a kid's time, testing them the way a careful parent would, and updating our picks as the field moves. That search is the whole reason these pages exist.

Which means we want to hear from builders.

If you build a great kids' app, contact us

If you're making something genuinely good for kids — an app where the kid does the making, learns something real, and stays safe — reach out. Tell us what it is, what a kid finishes with, and how you handle safety. We review every submission the same way we review everything else on these pages: by using it.

We're especially glad to hear from innovative startups in the space. The best new tools for kids often come from small teams nobody has ranked yet — being early to those is exactly the point of a living guide.

Offer our families a perk, get it listed with your entry

Here's the part we're building deliberately: a perks package for Kubrio families. If your app earns a place in a guide and you're willing to offer Kubrio families a discount or a perk — a free tier, extended trial, member pricing — we'll list the perk alongside your entry, in front of exactly the families who are actively choosing tools for their kids.

For you, that's distribution to the most intentional parents in the market. For our families, it's the membership quietly getting more valuable. For the guides, it's proof the search is real.

The rule that keeps this honest

A perk never buys a listing. Placement in these guides is decided only by whether we'd recommend the app to our own families — the same standard that has us openly telling readers when Kubrio itself is the wrong pick. If your app isn't a fit, no perk changes that; if it's excellent, it gets listed whether or not a perk comes with it. The perk only decides whether there's a gift on the table when families find you here.

What we look for

  • The kid makes, not just consumes. After using your app, does something exist that the kid made? That test runs through every guide on this site.
  • Built for kids, honestly. Age-appropriate by design, COPPA compliant, no dark patterns, no ad-fueled attention traps.
  • Real substance. It does what it says, and a kid can tell.
  • Parents can see what's going on. Visibility and controls that respect the family.

Frequently asked questions

How do I submit my app?

Use the [contact page](/contact). Include what the app does, ages, pricing, how you handle safety and data, and — if you're offering one — the perk for Kubrio families.

Does offering a perk guarantee a listing?

No, and this is the point: listings are merit-based, always. The perk is a bonus for families on apps that earn their place — it is never the price of admission.

What kind of perks work best?

Whatever genuinely helps a family try or keep your product: member pricing, an extended trial, a free tier upgrade. Simple and real beats clever.

We're a tiny startup — is it too early?

No. Small teams building genuinely new things for kids are exactly who we want to find early. If kids finish your app with something they made, we want to see it.
