Halloween Story Maker

Story Maker · free

Make a spooky story. Fold it into a tiny book.

The Story Maker writes a spooky, not too scary, 8-page story from four picks: a hero, a place, a strange thing, and an ending. You print it on one sheet of paper, fold it into a mini book, and draw two of the pictures yourself. It takes about a minute to read aloud. In Kubrio's Comic Studio, kids draw stories like this one on paper and turn them into comics.

Questions parents ask

Is the Story Maker too scary for young kids?

No. Every story is cute-spooky: a door that knocks back, a candy that whispers, a shadow that wants to play. Nothing is gory, and every ending is funny, friendly, or a gentle twist. It's written for kids 6 to 13.

How do I fold the mini book?

Print the sheet in landscape and fold it into eight boxes. Cut the short dashed line in the middle, fold the sheet in half the long way with the pictures outside, and push the two ends together until it closes into a book. The step-by-step guide is under every story.

Do we need an account or an email?

No. The Story Maker is free, with no account, no email, and no typing. Each story lives at its own link, so you can share it or print it again later.
