Free course: How to draw a character
A big round helmet, a puffy suit, and a wave hello. Watch the video, follow along on paper, then print the practice sheet and draw it again.
Watch it first
Draw it step by step
New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.
Draw a big circle near the top. Make it bigger than a normal head, because a helmet goes around it.
A soft box under the helmet with round corners. Puffy is the look.
Draw an oval window inside the helmet. Put two dot eyes and a smile inside it.
Two fat arms with round mittens, one waving up high. Two little boxes peek out for the backpack.
Two short, fat legs under the suit. Give each one a chunky boot.
A box of buttons, a patch on the chest, and some stars. Now this astronaut is yours.
Now draw an astronaut meeting someone surprising on the moon.
Practice on paper
Faint lines to trace, all six mini steps, and an empty box to draw your own. One page, works in black and white.
