Draw it step by step

Six steps to a dolphin

New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.

1

Start with the body

Draw a long body that arches up like a rainbow, with a short round nose at the front.

2

Add the tail

Two pointy flukes at the back, one up and one down.

3

A fin and a flipper

A curved fin on its back that leans toward the tail, and a small flipper under the tummy.

4

Eye and smile

One dot eye above the nose, and a long smile along it. Dolphins always look happy.

5

Draw the wave

A wavy line under the dolphin that rolls up into a curl, and two little ripples. Wobbly waves look splashy.

6

Finishing touches

One line along its side for the pale tummy, and two drops falling back into the sea. Now this dolphin is yours.

Go further

Now draw a dolphin doing a trick nobody has seen before.
