Draw it step by step

Six steps to a hummingbird

New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.

1

Start with the body

Draw a small egg that tips down to the right. Wobbly is fine.

2

Add a round head

A round head on the front of the body. Stop the line where it meets the body.

3

A very long beak

One dot eye, a little smile, and a long, thin beak pointing down to the left.

4

Wings and a tail

Two long wings pointing up from the back, and a tail with a V cut out of it.

5

Make it buzz

Three short lines by the wings show they flap super fast. Add two tiny feet tucked under the tummy.

6

A flower to sip

A bell-shaped flower with a wavy edge that the beak tip touches, on a stem with one leaf. Now this hummingbird is yours.

Go further

Now draw a hummingbird visiting the biggest flower in the world.
