Halloween for kids Costume ideas A mask of your kid's own monster

Printable monster mask your kid designs
Ages 6+ · about 30 minutes
To make a monster mask, your kid builds a monster in Monster Maker, prints it as a mask, colors it in, and you add an elastic string. It takes about 30 minutes, and nobody else has the same costume.
What you need
- Monster Maker (free, on any screen)
- A printer and card stock (or paper glued to a cereal box)
- Crayons or markers
- Scissors and a hole punch
- Elastic cord or string
- Tape
How to make it
- Build the monsterYour kid picks a body, eyes, a mouth, and horns in Monster Maker.
- Print the maskPrint the mask page on card stock. Thin paper works if you glue it onto a cereal box first.
- Color it inYour kid colors the monster, with bright colors that show up after dark.
- Cut it outCut around the mask. A grown-up cuts the eye holes, big enough to see the ground and both sides.
- Add the stringPut a piece of tape on each side, punch a hole through it, and tie elastic cord that fits snugly around the back of your kid's head.
