Draw it step by step

Six steps to a kangaroo

New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.

1

Start with the body

Draw a tall pear shape, thin at the top and round at the bottom. Leave the top open for the head.

2

A head and long ears

A small head on top with a nose that points forward. Then two long ears standing straight up.

3

Give it a face

One dot eye, a round nose at the tip, and a little smile under it.

4

Legs and a tail

A big curved thigh, one long foot flat on the ground, and a thick tail resting behind.

5

Arms and a pouch

Two short arms held out in front. Then a curve across the tummy for the pouch.

6

A joey in the pouch

A little round head peeking out of the pouch, with tiny ears and a dot eye. Now this kangaroo is yours.

Go further

Now draw a kangaroo with something surprising in its pouch.
