Six steps, one pencil, about eight minutes. Watch the video, follow along on paper, then print the practice sheet and draw it again.

Draw it step by step
New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.
Draw a long, fat band across the bottom of your paper. Give its bottom edge a row of soft bumps, like a cloud.
One big curve up from the right end of the brim, over the top, and down to the left. Then a short line straight up from the left.
Two lines curving down from the top of the cone, getting closer together. The hat is too tall to stand up.
A bumpy circle on the end of the tip, like a little cloud. Add one little tuft inside it.
Two soft lines up the cone for folds. Then a short wavy line at each end of the brim so it looks fluffy.
A little star pin in the middle of the brim. Now this Santa hat is yours.
Now draw a Santa hat on someone who isn't Santa.
Practice on paper
Faint lines to trace, all six mini steps, and an empty box to draw your own. One page, works in black and white.
