Six steps to a spinosaurus

New lines are purple. Lines you already drew turn light.

1

Start with the body

Draw a long bean shape, higher at the front. Leave the back end open — the tail goes there.

2

Sail and tail

A long wavy sail growing out of the back, then a tail that gets wider at the end, like a paddle.

3

Long neck and snout

A short neck up to a long, thin snout, like a crocodile. Add one eye and a smile along the mouth.

4

Legs in the water

Two strong back legs and a little bent arm. Draw a wavy waterline where the legs stop.

5

Spines in the sail

Four lines inside the sail, growing up from the back. Leave a little space at the top.

6

Ripples and a splash

Two ripple lines under the water, and a tiny splash by the tail. Now this spinosaurus is yours.

Go further

Now draw a spinosaurus using its sail as something else.
