Make: The Dance Party
Forever loops, two dancers and a wait. Put all of World 4 together.
Meet the plan
This is a project: no new block, just every block from this world working together. Your dancer needs a forever loop, so the dance never ends. There is another dancer on the floor with her own forever loop. And when two forever dances share a floor, a wait is how you dance in time instead of bumping.
A forever loop, a few steps and one wait. That is a dance.
See it work
Two dancers, the same four blocks each. Only the wait is in a different place. Watch them.
💃
When he goes up, she rests. When she goes up, he rests. Moving the wait one place over is all it took to make them take turns — for ever.
Your turn
Now you're the programmer. Plan it, build it, play it.
Dance Party: can you reach the disco ball?

Where else could the wait go?
Move your wait to the front of the loop, or between two of the steps, and play again. On this floor it works in every place — the dance just looks a little different each time. A project has more than one right answer. Pick the one you like watching best.
For grown-ups
Projects that combine loops, concurrency and timing are how kids move from following steps to designing programs — there is no single answer, only ones that work.

Make a game other kids can play
The blocks on this page are a first taste. In a Kubrio project your kid builds a real game — powers, triggers, levels and all — and other kids get to play it.
