Animation Studio · With Krea
How to write a script
This course teaches your kid to write a short script: who talks, what they feel, and what they say. Krea hosts five short films, and your kid writes lines on paper, reads them out loud, and uses them in Animation Studio's Sound room. Plan about five minutes of films and 30–45 minutes of writing.

Transcript
Hi, I'm Krea. Let's make your characters talk.
A script is the words your characters say, written down.
Here's the secret. Great lines are short.
So short you can say them in one breath.
Every line has a feeling. Happy. Grumpy. Scared. Sneaky.
And when two characters want different things, that's when it gets fun.
One wants the last cookie. The other one wants it too. Uh oh.
You write it on paper. You read it out loud. You fix the bumpy bits.
Then your characters say it in your movie.
Pencil ready? Let's write.

What your kid makes
Your kid ends with a short script on paper: two characters, a feeling for every line, and lines short enough to say out loud. The script goes straight into Animation Studio's Sound room, where your kid picks who talks, how they feel, and what they say in the movie.

Questions parents ask
My kid is still learning to write. Can they do this?
Yes. Lines are short, and your kid can say them out loud while a grown-up writes them down. Reading each line out loud is part of the course.
Does this course use AI?
The writing happens on paper with no AI. In the last film, your kid brings the lines into Animation Studio, where AI turns the drawings and lines into the movie.
How is this different from writing a story?
A story tells what happens. A script is only what the characters say and do, so your kid practices dialogue, feelings, and short lines.
